The youth choir Schlägl was also a prominent victim of the corona pandemic. The children’s choirs are looking forward to the new start. “Singing is the first contact with music, and it can’t happen soon enough,” says JKS chairman Christopher Zehrer. That’s why there is a new offer at the Musikzwergen: Lisa Hofer (0660 / 38 885 81) will offer early musical education for one-year-olds – accompanied, of course.
In addition, the well-known Musikzwerge groups for children from two to six years start in mid-September with the young Niederwaldkirchner, who studied elementary music and dance pedagogy at the Orff Institute in Salzburg and is currently completing her master’s degree in Vienna.
Karin Zehrer (0699 / 170 64 455) looks after children from around six to twelve years of age in the girls’ and boys’ choir. “We’re making a real new start here after three years of stagnation,” invites Christopher Zehrer: “We definitely want to do a children’s musical again, possibly in the summer of 2024.” Some other events have already been decided: On December 3rd there will be an Advent singing in the parish church of Aigen.
Concert with 6appeal
Already on September 15, 7 p.m. (on September 16 if the weather is bad) “6appeal”, the male vocal ensemble, will give an open-air concert on the grounds of the State Garden Show in Aigen-Schlägl. Paul Gierlinger, who was on stage at Mamma Mia at the Seefestspiele in Mörbisch, Christopher Zehrer, Kurt Humenberger, Johannes Watzl and Ruben Höglinger present numbers by the Wise Guys.
