Two years ago, between the lockdowns and just before the fourth time, award-winning chef Philip Rachinger was really fed up. Spontaneously, he decided to “let the crazy summer of 2021 come to an end” with friends of his chefs and winegrowers, as well as with the Neufeldner organic brewery.
Tavern roas with success
“Even the first festival was a brutal success and with an estimated 400 visitors from all federal states, but also many ‘Dåsign’ and Neufeldners, we were overwhelmed by how easy an event can be,” recalls Rachinger and is looking forward to the second edition on the 9th of September.

The concept was found quickly and will be implemented the same way the second time around. Due to the closure of various restaurants and the resulting vacancies, distributed across the historic market of Neufelden, there are many interesting places. The old substance and soul that can be found in the various locations adds that certain something. Young entrepreneurs, all of whom live in or with gastronomy, will breathe life into these locations for one day on September 9th.
Culinary Masters
From 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., dishes will be prepared at a total of seven stations by the hottest chefs from Copenhagen, Zurich and across Austria.
There is also a selection of winemakers that you can only dream of. It’s a home game for the Neufeldner organic brewery, which gets a boost from Trumer beer from Salzburg.
Everyone who appreciates good cuisine is welcome. You can simply come to the individual inns or stations and enjoy everything. However, there is also an offer for those who want to secure the full offer: It is worth securing a ticket in Rachinger’s Mühltalhof in advance for 120 euros.
Music is provided during the day by the local band “Stravanza”. In the evening there is Techno by Tattu Tatta Glub and Zanshin.
