A 28-year-old from Linz can expect several ads: Late Tuesday afternoon, the young man was driving his motorcycle on the B139 from Leonding in the direction of Linz. Immediately after the place-name sign, he sped past a civilian patrol from the state traffic department. The officials’ measuring devices showed a speed of 101 km/h – 50 were allowed.
The racer was stopped and asked to take an alcohol test. This resulted in a value of 0.68 per thousand. In addition, a urine test was positive for THC. A police doctor determined that he was unfit to drive. The 28-year-old lost his driver’s license for the time being, the police said on Wednesday afternoon.
It wasn’t the only driver’s license that officials took away on Tuesday: Another drug driver had to give up his driving license. The number plate of a motorcycle driver was also taken away because a noise measurement had shown an increased value.
