He Kremlin denied this Friday the accusations against the Russian government who hold responsible Vladimir Putin by the assassination of the head of the Wagner paramilitary group, Yevgeny Prigozhindied in a plane crash two months after his armed rebellion.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, described as “lie” the versions that point to the Russian government. “It is an absolute lie, we must address this problem [del accidente aéreo] based on the facts,” he said.
“There is much speculation surrounding the plane crash and the tragic death of the passengers, including Yevgeny Prigozhin, and we already know in what direction there is speculation in the West,” the official added.
Despite the accusations, the Russian president assured that “wait for the results” of the investigations carried out in the context of the sudden death of the leader of the paramilitary group.
Although Putin considered Prigozhin a traitor because of the armed uprising he led on June 23 and 24, on Thursday night, after his death, referred to him as a “talented” man that, however, he made “serious mistakes in his life”.

The Russian President, Vladimir Putinhighlighted on Thursday the “contribution” in the offensive in Ukraine of the head of the militia Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhindespite his “mistakes”, and promised to investigate “thoroughly” his death in a plane that crashed on Wednesday near Moscow.
Prigozhin62, rose to fame after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, in which his fighters – including thousands of convicts he recruited from prison – led the Russian assault on the city of Bakhmut in the longest and bloodiest battle of the war.
Lately he used the social networks to proclaim the successes of the group Wagnerwhich alienated him from the formal military establishment, which he accused of incompetence and even treason.
