After the premiere in 2021 and a break in the previous year, it returns this year “Gem music festival” back to Wels from September 8th to 10th. As the name suggests, the organizers Hans-Jörg Wanik and Horst Sonntagbauer have put together an eclectic, high-quality line-up with artists from a wide variety of styles. A “Festival of new sounds with exciting and fascinating music ideas” announce the two.
Three concert dates are on the program: Peter Hudler will start on Friday, September 8th at 8 p.m. with his crossover program “Cello on Fire” in the Minorites. The cellist builds bridges between the musical epochs from pop to rock, folk, jazz and classical modern.
Afterwards, from 9 p.m., that will take over “Diknu Schneeberger Trio”, which is one of the best gypsy jazz bands in the world. Together with the violin shooting star Sandro Roy they present fiery, cheerful melodies from their own pen.

The second part of the evening will be performed by an ensemble that has already performed at Carnegie Hall in New York: “Quadro Nuevo” has been touring the world since 1996 and brings back from his travels a colorful mix of tango styles, music from the Mediterranean and the Orient, voyage songs and much more.
