The police headquarters in Swabia North also reported on numerous other operations. It was mainly a flooded basement and fallen trees. Skylights were also damaged by hail. The Plärrer folk festival started in Augsburg on Saturday. Due to the heavy rain, people flocked from the site in the evening.
The German Weather Service (DWD) continued to warn of severe weather in southern Bavaria on Saturday evening. For the administrative district of Upper Bavaria, the DWD issued the highest of four warning levels: extreme thunderstorms threatened, trees could be uprooted and roofs damaged.
