Last week, the Farmers’ Association of the Vöcklabruck district invited all officials in the district to a “summer talk at the farm” with the Rosner (“Wagner”) family in Ungenach. Prominent ÖVP politicians were available as speakers and discussion partners, including MEPs Angelika Winzig and her Lower Austrian parliamentary colleague Alexander Bernhuber. Also present were Minister of Agriculture Michaela Langer-Weninger, Member of Parliament Elisabeth Gneißl and President of the Association of Municipalities Christian Mader.
Tiny gave an insight into the work in the EU Parliament, where mediation and finding compromises are an important part of the work. The Attnanger promised to work in Brussels to reduce bureaucratic hurdles for farmers. “With us as a people’s party, common sense is clearly in the foreground and not pure idealism,” she said. Other topics were the EU budget, the Ukraine war, asylum policy, the Green Deal and the wolf issue.
Before the event, the Rosner family invited people to visit the brandy distillery, giving an insight into the production, the product range and the company.
