Family festival on the Donauwiese celebrates a new start

There is a new edition for the popular “Family Festival on the Danube Meadow”. On Sunday, September 10, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., families are welcome to the 16th family festival in the Viking village of Exlau with free admission. Roswitha Öhler, initiator and head of the Mühltal family network: “Especially in times of rising prices, it is important to us to offer families a carefree, beautiful Sunday immediately before school starts. Not only is admission free, all activities can also be enjoyed free of charge!”

The team of the Mühltal family network with the network communities of Kleinzell, St. Ulrich, Neufelden, St. Martin, Kirchberg ob der Donau, Niederwaldkirchen and Altenfelden are also celebrating their 20th anniversary. All the actors, the craft and games teams, the St. Martin, Untermühl, Plöcking and Kirchberg ob der Donau fire brigades, the artists and everyone who was a fixed starter before Corona are now enthusiastically back for the new edition. New features include the Black Wizard Acrobats Show, movement stations and much more. Everyone helps: The Kleinzell fire brigade commander will look after the campfire while baking stick bread. The many visitors come not only from the district of Rohrbach, but even from the central area. To mark the 20th anniversary of the family network, a joint work of art will be created at the festival: the children can design animals using fingerprints on linen.

Diverse program

For the family festival, the team around Veronika Schirz, Jutta Schietz, Julia Schütz, Sabine Süss, Gerlinde Füreder, Roswitha and Roland Öhler have come up with real hits, such as playing together, handicrafts with natural materials, face painting, Black Wizard Acrobats Show, fire engine boat trips , designing artistic pictures with the slingshot, judo demonstrations and learning of falling techniques, insect hotel handicrafts, horseback riding, dog dance, campfire, Sparkasse bouncy castle, Erima football giant wuzzler, archery, chess, exercise station with the fox mascot Filu, inspection of the Red Cross emergency vehicle, hairstyles -Styling, horse riding, children’s yoga and much more.

With a hands-on pass from the ASVÖ tent, you can take part in a raffle.
