First class brass music is on the program in Rohrbach from September 8th to 10th at the “International Brass Music Festival”. International wind music sounds will conquer the Mühlviertel district capital Rohrbach-Berg. Top music groups from Italy, Poland, Hungary, Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria are announced for this first festival of its kind in the region. Consultant Harald Haselmayr as artistic director promises a unique musical and cultural fireworks display in the Upper Mühlviertel.
This is guaranteed by more than 500 musicians, who will inspire the audience for three days at concerts in the Centro and on the Rohrbach-Berg sports field with a brilliant military march and brass band show at the highest level. Haselmayr invites all fans of brass music and those who want to become one to secure tickets in good time. The organizers have made the prices extremely public-friendly at a maximum of 25 euros. The possibility of booking tickets and the program for this brass music highlight initiated by the Forchhammer Foundation is available at www.upperaustria-tattoo.at.
The three-day brass music festival kicks off on Friday, September 8th at 7:30 p.m. with the “Concert of Nations” in the Centro Rohrbach-Berg, where the representative orchestra of the Warsaw police can be heard, among others. The absolute highlight for the eyes and ears is then on Saturday, September 9th, from 7 p.m. with the marching music show “upper austria Tattoo” on the Rohrbach-Berg sports field, which features not only the Warsaw police orchestra but also, above all, the artistic performances by the Bersaglieri di Lecco from Italy.
The bagpipe is one of the wind instruments. The Pipes & Drums from Czestochowa in Poland will demonstrate what you can musically get out of these “bags” and conjure up Scottish Highland flair in the Rohrbach soccer arena.
The festival will end with the sounds of international brass bands on Sunday, September 10, from 5 p.m. at the “Concert of Traditions” in Centro Rohrbach-Berg.
Well-known sponsors and partners support the event economically: such as small hydropower plants Forchhammer, Raiffeisen, the Hochreiter Group from Bad Leonfelden, Biohort, Oberösterreichische Versicherung, Stiftsbrauerei Schlägl, Mercedes Oberaigner, Scheschy facilities as well as the state of Upper Austria, the Lions Club Rohrbach-Boehmerwald, the Oö . Gold bonnets and the senior citizens’ association.
