It starts on Sunday, September 3rd, with a lyrical matinee with baroque music in the “Garden of Secrets” in Stroheim. Günter Kaindlstorfer will moderate the readings and discussions. Guests are the Carinthian author Cvetka Lipus (“Leaving for Beginners”), co-editor of the culture magazine “Mladje”, and the Montenegrin writer Jana Radicevic (“zone des neutralen druckes”), who in 2020/21 was the youngest writer to date in Graz was. The Ensemble Castor provides musical entertainment. Start is at 10.30 a.m.

On Wednesday, September 13th, the multi-award-winning author Ilija Trojanow will continue: He will present his new book “Thousand and One Morning” (7.30 p.m.) in the Tischlerei am Schopperplatz in Aschach: “This is his Upper Austrian premiere at all, what we are particularly pleased,” says Christian Gsöllradl-Samhaber, the artistic director of the “Literaturschiff” initiative.
On October 11, in the Eferdinger Gastzimmer, the writer Luis Stabauer reads from his book “Ahrer oder Der erkampfe Traum” about the life of Maria Ahrer, who fled to South America in 1934 after the workers’ uprising in Steyr was suppressed and whose son José later became President of Uruguay .
He will be accompanied musically by Reinhart Sellner, moderated by Christine Haiden.
