The state chronicle of Upper Austria has been sold around 95,000 times to date. Now the next edition of this important chronicle – supplemented by the years 2017 to 2022 – has been published.

“I am delighted that the state chronicle of Upper Austria is available again in a new, updated edition. It is an important reference work with comprehensive information on the history and present of Upper Austria,” said Governor Thomas Stelzer.

The most important reference work in our federal state was published for the first time in 1987 by the then deputy editor-in-chief of OÖ Nachrichten, Rudolf Lehr.

After his death in March this year, the former OÖN editor-in-chief and now chief commentator Gerald Mandlbauer continued his work together with Johannes Jetschgo, ex-editor-in-chief of the ORF in Upper Austria.

The state chronicle was published by Brandstätter Verlag (ISBN 978-3-7106-0696-0) and has 624 pages, the price in bookstores is 55 euros.
