“They are the absolute favorites for the title. I’ve been watching them and we’ll come up with a plan. If we push the limits and Oedt doesn’t have the best day, we have a chance,” says Rohrbach-Berg’s coach Christian Eisschiel before the top game on Sunday against champion and table leader Oedt 1b. After two wins at the start, the Rohrbachers lost 2:3 to Viktoria Marchtrenk. “The penalty in the 94th minute wasn’t one, but that usually evens out over the course of the season, the game is over,” says Eisschiel. Points should come back on Sunday. Eisschiel: “We’re on target, and we’re still in the cup.” With three wins from the first four games, Naarn is in very good shape ahead of today’s home game against Traun. The climber is in second place in the table and is currently the best Mühlviertler team in the Landesliga Ost.
In the Upper Austrian league, the top game is Bad Leonfelden versus Oedt. The promoted team is just a point behind the champions and will go into tomorrow’s game with a lot of confidence. After coach Robert Lenz’s victorious debut last weekend in Wels, there was a 2-2 draw against SPG Weißkirchen/Allhaming in the follow-up game on Tuesday. Tomorrow, with Oedt, an even heavier chunk awaits the Kurstadters.
St. Martin got off to a lesser start. The Luksch-Elf only has three points after four games. Today is the second win for the table fifth of the previous season against SPG FC Wels / WSC Hertha 1b.
