The Frente Amplio senator, Charles Carrera, assured that he is concerned about the lack of responses from the ministries when they are called to appear.

The opposition demanded that the government standardize the tariffs of the Cuenca del Plata Terminal (TCP) since it is a public service; on the other hand, he expressed his concern about the lack of responses from ministries before the appearances.

The frontline senator, Charles Carrera, spoke about the change in the rates of the Port of Montevideo by the company Terminal Cuenca del Plata (TCP). “We do not argue with TCP, we do not argue with the pig but with whoever scratches its back, we argue with the government. Us we do not share port deliveryWhat we denounced two years ago today is coming to fruition,” he explained to Underlined.

In this sense, he assured that the Executive power It should standardize these rates and I support the communiqués of the unions against the increase in values. “There is a negative effect, the port is a public service and (the rates) have to be approved by the executive branch, we believe in the delivery that was made of the port, TCP was also given the possibility of setting the rates and that is violation of the Constitution”, he remarked.

The lack of response from the ministries

The opposition senator assured that he is concerned about the lack of response from the ministries when they are called to appear within the framework of the Accountability. Carrera specifically referred to the Ministry of Transportation, which had promised by the end of August to put the Vehicle Control System.

“The minister had promised that the Vehicle Control System would be in operation by mid-August. It is recognized that there is a very important evasion, there is a lack of resources, a study carried out by this government indicates that there is an evasion of 120 million dollars, but there is no government action to attack that evasion”, he explained.
