President Luis Lacalle Pou will travel to Chili in the coming days to be part of the commemorative acts of September 11 for the 50th anniversary of the coup in that country.
Lacalle Pou will take part together with other presidents and ex-presidents of both countries in the main act held in the Coin Palacewhich will be headed by his peer, Chilean President gabriel boric.
During the commemorative acts, authorities from all Chilean ministries will read aloud the names of the officials who disappeared or were executed during the last military dictatorship in that country, which was led by the former dictator, Augusto Pinochet. After this, the Chilean government will sign a compromise agreement for democracy.
