“From June to September, young people can get a taste of many areas of the municipality of Amstetten. These include administration, kindergartens and schools or city maintenance,” reports Mayor Christian Haberhauer (VP). “This year, 90 pupils and students supported us with a great deal of commitment in our daily work during the holidays,” says Haberhauer.
The city offers the opportunity to complete a summer internship on the one hand and to pursue a summer job on the other. “In the context of internships, the focus is on learning and training, while vacation work gives an insight into working life and it is often about earning your first money,” explains City Councilor Doris Koch (VP).
Holiday interns are also being sought for the coming year. The prerequisite for a vacation job with the city is the completion of the 15th year of age with the key date May 31 of the vacation year. Applications by January 31 to personal@amstetten.at
