In August 2019 and thus before the corona pandemic, which massively slowed down air traffic, there were only 14.9 million. The previous high was 18.7 million in July 2023. In the financial year running until March 2024, Europe’s largest airline in terms of passengers wants to increase the number of its passengers by 9 percent to around 183.5 million.
Analysts at Citibank reiterated their “buy” rating on Ryanair shares following the release of passenger data. The airline is a “consolidator of market share in Western Europe with growth potential in Eastern Europe”. Ryanair is gaining momentum much better than other airlines after the corona crisis.
The group is aiming for around 300 million passengers in the 2033/34 financial year.
