In January 2023, the Vienna University of Technology initiated an administrative procedure involving independent, internal and external experts to review Niki Popper’s diploma and doctoral theses. The Vienna University of Technology now has the independent, external test report on Popper’s dissertation “Comparative Modeling and Simulation – A Concept for Modular Modeling and Hybrid Simulation of Complex Systems”.
The report certifies that Dr. Popper is in any case worthy of a dissertation and is beyond question. The incoming external assessment does not recognize any intention to deceive. In addition, a comprehensive internal university report states that there is absolutely no doubt about the originality of Niki Popper’s dissertation.
“On the basis of these results in the present reports, the procedure will be discontinued and the academic degree ‘Dr.techn.’ not revoked,” explains Kurt Matyas, Vice Rector for Studies and Teaching at the Vienna University of Technology in writing on Tuesday afternoon.
