In this context, the Uruguayan ambassador in the neighboring country pointed out that, although the high consultations of Argentines to settle in Uruguay—a phenomenon that occurred, mainly, during and after the Covid-19 pandemic—, the communications from companies that want to open subsidiaries in the national territory.


“We have interviews every week with entrepreneurs, SMEs, people who explore opportunities. We have had the opportunity to help two or three companies selling services and shops with good brands, which have a strong domestic market and are expanding in the region. Also agro-industrial ventures, apart from real estate,” Enciso explained in dialogue with Informativo Sarandí.
A bilateral agenda with certain obstacles
Consulted for the agenda of issues to be discussed between Argentina and Uruguay, Enciso pointed out that there are different issues on the table that have not yet been resolved. However, he assured that “they are marching”, although “not with the speed that we would like.”
