He Broad Front (FA) will continue with the questioning of the Minister of Economy and Finance (MEF) Azucena Arbeleche and to the minister of Foreign Relations Francisco Bustillo, even after the resignation of Carlos Albisu as president of the delegation of Uruguay in the Mixed Technical Commission (CTM) of Big jump, while they understand that the decision of the hierarchy of the National Party confirm the existence of irregularities in its management.
On October 3, Arbeleche and Bustillo must appear before the Lower House and answer the questions of the interpelling deputy Nicolas Viera (FA) as decided by Parliament with the votes of the Broad Front and Town meeting. This was resolved by the opposition bench, despite the movements that occurred yesterday afternoon, which implied the departure of Albisu and the entry into the leadership of the CTM of Martín Burutarán.
“We understand that – in some way – the facts, with this resignation on the table, prove us right, that they were actually consummated management irregularities of the Uruguayan delegation in Salto Grande,” said Viera, in this regard.
The legislator pointed out Albisu’s responsibility in this case, but also pointed out the president Luis Lacalle Pou for being the one who appoints the members of the Uruguayan delegation in Salto Grande, and “all those who have made decisions” in the organization that is the center of accusations of political clientelism for, at least, 35 direct hirings and an additional budget allocation of 200 million pesos.

Albisu’s resignation
