Parent-Child Pass: Voluntary family advice

Parent-Child Pass: Voluntary family advice

Family consultations are also available at home upon request.

For now, the offer is voluntary. Around half of the 400 existing family counseling centers in Austria currently offer the service. “There are 41 positions in Upper Austria,” says Klemens Hafner-Hanner, team leader of the family counseling service for the Diocese of Linz. The consultations should cover topics such as parental leave, maternity leave, childcare allowance, daddy month and pension splitting. In the future, parental advice, like ultrasound examinations, should be firmly anchored in the mother-child pass.
