The man is said to have hit one of the two oncoming bikers with his side mirror on a curve and therefore stopped. According to the Lower Austria police, the two motorcyclists then attacked him, kicked him and rolled him over in the leg area. The 80-year-old said he fell after being punched in the stomach and was subsequently kicked. As he was leaving the scene, a biker is said to have run over the man’s legs. After initial treatment, the Lower Austrian was flown to Krems University Hospital with the Christophorus 2 emergency medical helicopter.
According to police, the man was unable to provide any precise information about the motorcyclists. That’s why cameras from uninvolved road users who were traveling in the region are currently being evaluated. The Weißenkirchen police station is also asking for information from the public on 059133-3452.
