At around 10 a.m., the 14-year-old detonated a category P1 pyrotechnic object (permitted only from the age of 18) during a traditional wedding shooting in the presence of his 41-year-old father. Numerous people were standing nearby. When the teenager tried to light the firecracker’s fuse, the firecracker exploded and injured his hand. That’s what the boy said during the interrogation. He was flown to the hospital with the “Christophorus 10” emergency medical helicopter with injuries of an undetermined degree and was released into home care after medical treatment. The remaining firecrackers were seized. The father will be charged under the Pyrotechnics Act and for negligent bodily harm, according to the police.
