The University Group asked the Executive for an express law for the Professionals Fund

The University Group of Uruguay (AUDU) asked the Executive power to review the “Express Law” that was proposed at the time due to the financial situation of the Retirement and Pension Fund for University Professionals (Cjppu), so that this is studied and approved as soon as possible by the Legislative power.

Through a statement, the AUDU once again pressured the government to send a quick law that can save the Cjppu, which presents a critical financial perspective.

In December 2022, the AUDU had already presented the draft bill that was achieved after tense negotiations with the Cjppu itself and the Executive Branch. Now they ask for its review.
