“Valentine’s Day Mascara” shows a woman with a black eye and a knocked out tooth. It looks like she’s dumping a man in a freezer. Banksy originally sprayed the work, which draws attention to domestic violence, on a house wall in the English coastal town of Margate. The freezer itself is not painted, but a real device. The installation is now being shown in the foyer of the exhibition “The Art of Banksy” near Piccadilly Circus.
