On Sunday there will be a celebration at the Schlüßlberg farm: For 60 years, people with cognitive or multiple disabilities have been looked after and supported in the adapted and barrier-free farm in order to be able to lead as self-determined a life as possible. They can live there, they are employed in the in-house workshops or partner companies depending on their skills.
It begins at 10 a.m. with a ceremony at which State Councilor for Social Affairs Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer and Mayor Klaus Höllerl are also expected. Musically entertaining “Herzbluat”. A varied children’s program with a craft workshop, camel riding, donkey petting and go-karting awaits the youngest visitors. The group “InCluenz” dances a lively show, and impressive pictures by resident Gerhard Gaad can also be seen at an exhibition. Of course, there is also a culinary pampering program for guests: you can choose from Kistensau, grilled chicken, bratwurst, potato curls, farmer’s donuts and much more.
The institution is run by Focus Person – Forum for People with Disabilities, which advocates for the concerns of people with disabilities and their relatives.
