“Taste Gemma delicacies” is the motto today and tomorrow when the OÖN and Genussland invite you to Upper Austria’s “largest promenade for connoisseurs”. Specialties from Upper Austrian regions are offered from the Taubenmarkt to Martin-Luther-Platz.
At the “Food Court” at the Taubenmarkt, freshly cooked, baked, mixed and tapped dishes are served. From duck leg to bacon sandwiches, there is something for every taste. Freistadt beer is tapped to quench your thirst. The Parzmair distillery serves gin and tonic from its own VW Bully.
The country road will once again be a unique pleasure promenade this year. There you can taste truffle salami, Alpine caviar, Innviertler dumplings or farmer’s donuts.
Martin-Luther-Platz is traditionally the home of the bakers. Fresh bread specialties are offered straight from the wood-fired oven. Also on offer: Steckerlfisch from the Salzkammergut, wonderful must and game and wine from Upper Austria
On the cathedral square, the Mühlviertler Hochland Tourism Association presents the culinary, tourist and cultural specialties of the region. Today there is a twilight drink from 7.30 p.m., on Saturday “Dance at the Cathedral Square” until the evening hours, music and children’s program.
