“We don’t want gas from Molln”: That’s the declaration of war in the Upper Austrian capital. The participants in today’s demonstration in Linz are calling for an end to the planned gas drilling in Molln, a comprehensive expansion of wind power and the provision of future-proof electricity infrastructure.
The strike starts at 12 p.m. at the Volksgarten in front of the music theater. The final rally will take place after the demonstration through Linz city center at Landhausplatz. The organizers expect many participants. “There is a lot of interest from students, especially at the beginning of the school year,” says Alen Kocaj, press spokesman for Fridays For Future Linz.
