VIENNA (Reuters) – The U.N. nuclear watchdog on Saturday condemned what it called Iran’s “disproportionate and unprecedented” move to bar access to about a third of the agency’s most experienced inspectors assigned to to the country, hampering its ability to monitor Tehran’s nuclear activities.
“I strongly condemn this unprecedented and disproportionate unilateral measure that affects the normal planning and conduct of the Agency’s verification activities in Iran and openly contradicts the cooperation that must exist between the Agency and Iran,” the head of the Agency said in a statement.
