In Lower Austria, investigations are underway into the sexual abuse of several underage boys. One suspect has been in custody since the end of August. The investigation should be completed soon, a spokeswoman for the Krems public prosecutor’s office told ORF Lower Austria on Monday. Due to victim protection, there is no further information about the perpetrator or the children affected.
According to an online report by “NÖN”, the accused is said to have invited the boys to his home and abused them there. The man probably belongs to a church community. However, any connection between this membership and the alleged cases of abuse was denied by the community in the media report.
