A fatal accident involving a tractor-trailer occurred on Tuesday around 9:30 a.m. in the Freistadt district: a 53-year-old man drove the tractor and trailer backwards out of the garage. He probably didn’t notice his mother walking behind the tractor because of the height of the feed mixer.
When the farmer realized that he had hit the 76-year-old with the trailer, he jumped off the tractor and rushed to his seriously injured mother. He notified the emergency services and immediately began resuscitation measures, which were continued by officers after the police arrived until rescue arrived. Due to the severity of the injuries, the C10 rescue helicopter was called in, but the emergency doctor could only determine that the injured were dead.
