“The way to health is through the stomach, and that also applies to animals,” says Sigrid Populorum. That’s why she founded Yoolola, supported by the city of Linz with a start-up grant last year.
Populorum will be a guest at the city’s pop-up store on the main square until the end of next week and is promoting its sustainable and healthy approach of “natural feeding according to the prey pattern”. The products, whose raw materials come 100 percent from Austria, contain muscle meat, raw meaty bones, fat, blood, fiber and offal. “There is nothing in natural food that doesn’t belong,” says Populorum. So no preservatives, no flavor enhancers, no salt, no sugar, no grains.
Organic, species-appropriate, feeding raw meat – that’s what the BARF principle stands for. Yoolola offers this in (frozen) menus (beef, lamb, game, chicken), which make healthy feeding easier for dog owners. Snacks are on offer, as are oils and food bowl systems. At the moment it is still sold online (www.yoolola.at) or via online supermarkets.
