The new one, valid from January ORF law enables the broadcaster to have many options in the online and social media areas. The streaming service ORF on will go online from January 1st. This will initially run in parallel with the TVthek and will gradually be fed with hundreds of productions from the ORF archive.
- Films, series How “Suburban women” can be accessed regardless of location and time universe-Contributions and Information broadcasts. Current videos are now available for at least half a year, many without restrictions. Selected programs can be streamed on TV up to 24 hours before they are broadcast.
- There is also a streaming offer for Children launched (“Okidoki”-Program, archive, children’s and family films). A child-friendly talk format, children’s yoga and the advice format “All ears” are also fed in.
- The “Time in the picture” is the first to get its own format YouTube channel. Criticism that the US giant can now collect advertising money with fact-based, expensively produced ORF stories went unheard by Media Minister Susanne Raab (ÖVP).
- The new Thursday In the middle of the year, the content of the program on Thursdays will be changed. On the one hand, this is because the broadcasting rights to European football competitions are expiring (Puls 4 will show European and Conference League games from autumn 2024). US films will also be removed from the program. Instead, the one produced in-house “Factual”row installed. The formats are called “History, Oida” (e.g. Udo Proksch), “True crime” (Jack Unterweger and Co) or “Estonia”.
