From Monday to Friday, the outpatient clinic at the Grieskirchen location is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (previously until 7 p.m.). After 6 p.m. acute care takes place in Wels. As before, the inpatient area will operate around the clock. The adjustment is due to low patient numbers and high workloads, says clinic managing director Dietbert Timmerer. “Our doctors in orthopedics and traumatology perform a lot of night and weekend shifts at both locations. This leads to a high level of workload. In Wels, with its supra-regional trauma care, many acute operations are also required during duty, which is why several doctors have to be on duty at the same time,” says Timmerer.
