On that day, the voting on the articles advanced rapidly since it began, and highlighted the reallocation of resources for more than 240 million pesos for the University of the Republic (Udelar).

The Budget Commission integrated with the Treasury was made up of deputies Juan Rodríguez (president), Lilian Galán (vice president), Jorge Alvear, Alfredo De Mattos, Sylvia Ibarguren, Ana Olivera, Álvaro Rodríguez, Gonzalo Civila, Bettiana Díaz, Álvaro Lima, Gonzalo Mujica, Gustavo Olmos, Álvaro Perrone, Marcos Portillo, Iván Posada, Conrado Rodríguez, Sebastián Valdomir and Álvaro Viviano.

A reallocation of resources in times of short supply

The tax situation in clear deterioration that the government must manage did not allow for large budget increases, even despite the claims of the different areas that, despite the lack of public money, face the increase in needs to be covered and costs that do find a way to increase.

In this sense, among the priority areas for resource allocation are the National Public Education Administration (ANEP), the Udelar Hospital of Clinics itself, the National Institute of Adolescent Social Inclusion (Inisa), he Power of attorney and the Prosecutor’s Office, among others.
