The rock with a circumference of around 40 centimeters came loose from the Nagelfluh chain and fell over an embankment onto the hood of the moving car, the police informed. The 27-year-old was uninjured and the car sustained serious damage.
The incident occurred shortly before 12.30 p.m. on Hittisauer Straße (L5), the 27-year-old was heading towards Balderschwang. Intense rainfall was believed to be the cause of the rockslide.
