Making energy visible is the goal that Michael Trescher is pursuing with his company Mediaconcept from Wartberg ob der Aist: He has developed “Nanoblue”, a software that controls the entire energy flow of a system (e.g. photovoltaics) as fully automatic energy management. The insights into processes and key figures gained from the analysis show potential for saving energy costs. Available resources should be used optimally. With Nanoblue, for which investors are also being sought, Mediaconcept, which started as an advertising agency more than 20 years ago, has applied for the Digitalos in the “digital project” category.

The OÖN and its partners are awarding the digital prize for the fifth time this year and honor digital pioneers. Applications are possible until October 7th at www.digitalos.at in the following categories: digital start-ups, digital personality (here the OÖN readers on nachrichten.at determine the winner), digital project and digital transformation. A jury chooses the winners.
The Linz-based company “Click&Learn” with its managing directors Renate Mitter, Roland Kaimberger and Robert Berndorfer is involved in the digital transformation, a full-service provider for companies on the subject of e-learning. Started in 1998 with a focus on face-to-face training, today digital learning worlds are created together with customers that are tailored to the respective target group: Knorr-Bremse’s 30,000 employees in Munich can access courses in up to twelve languages on the learning platform. Mechanical engineer Engel uses the offer to train customers and employees.

OÖN and its partners Sparkasse Oberösterreich, Tabakfabrik, KPMG, City of Linz, Wiener Städtische and State of Upper Austria make a pre-selection from all applications. They are supported by digital experts from the JKU in Linz. The winners will be announced on November 16th at a gala in the Linzer Tabakfabrik. All applicants are invited.
