MEXICO CITY, Sept 23 (Reuters) – Handcuffed and with a knife still protruding from his overalls, the Chucky doll is placed against the wall while a Mexican police officer holds him by his bright orange hair.
In a bizarre event in Mexican justice, the “diabolical doll” and its owner were arrested in a town in the north of the country earlier this week.
Its owner, identified only as Carlos “N” according to Mexican rules, allegedly used Chucky to terrorize people in the streets and demand money, local media reported.
Both were accused of disturbing public order and endangering the safety of other people.
Images in local media and social networks showed an officer from the Monclova police department, in the state of Coahuila, laughing while holding the sharp knife that was taken from Chucky.
According to news reports, the officer who handcuffed Chucky was later reprimanded for not taking her job seriously.
