The victim was tied by his feet and blindfolded. According to initial findings, the man had numerous head injuries, burns and cuts, Italian media reported.
The body was accidentally discovered by some workers who were doing maintenance work. The man was around 40 to 50 years old and had a rope wrapped around his neck. The dead man had torture marks on his head, circular burns and wounds that were probably the result of severe beatings. The Trieste public prosecutor’s office has taken over the investigation.
