On the sidelines of a discussion about the future of the public media system in Vienna, she assured the representatives of the professional group that the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economic Affairs’ film funding program FISA+ should remain in its current form. The program came into force on January 1st and, among other things, aims to attract international productions (cinema, TV, streaming) to Austria. Parts of the industry saw it as a milestone, although there was also criticism because it fueled competition and resource struggles.
