The Ried green market or weekly market is a fixture every Tuesday for visitors from the city and the surrounding area of Ried. From 7 a.m. there is always a lively market on the upper main square. The market was previously open until 12 p.m., but from October 3rd you can shop until 1 p.m. By opening until 1 p.m., the market will also be more attractive for working people, according to city marketing. Guests at the Rieder Grünmarkt particularly appreciate the colorful offerings – from fresh regional food and seasonal delicacies to young plants and flowers and household items. On the first “long” market day you can get to know the city of Ried even better, as Ried city marketing announces. Two free city tours will be offered on October 3rd – the meeting point for the tours at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. is in front of the Innviertler Volkskundehaus Museum on the church square. Registration for the tours is not required. The Charlotte Taitl House, a place of learning and memorial dedicated to the victims of National Socialism and Fascism, can also be visited free of charge on this day.
