Until now, users could only converse with the chatbot ChatGPT using a keyboard, but a real conversation could be possible in the future. After an update, the program should react to voice input and uploaded photos, as the artificial intelligence developer company OpenAI announced.
The new technology opens doors to many creative and accessibility-oriented applications. The offer will initially only be available for paid versions of the program. Users can “take a photo while traveling,” upload it to the platform and then chat about the special features of the area, the company explained. The AI can respond to photos of the refrigerator contents with recipe suggestions.
The functions will initially be introduced for ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise users in the coming weeks and will then be available for both smartphones with Apple operating systems and Android devices.
