The senators of the Multicolor Coalition announced a “complete agreement” for the Accountability, which contemplates the claims of Town meeting and a reallocation of resources for a total of 25 million dollars so that the initiative is approved in the Parliament.

The modifications include the 20 million dollars that were planned as part of the mental health plan, as confirmed by the senator of the National Party and president of the Budget Commission integrated with the Treasury, Rodrigo Blas, during a press conference with legislators from the different ruling parties.

When analyzing the details of the 25 million dollars that the government reallocated, Blas He pointed out that 10 million dollars will be allocated to military salaries, at the request of Town meeting, while 3.7 million dollars will be for the Hospital de Clínicas.

In addition, 3.3 million will be for health, 2 million for Power of attorney, 1.8 million for plans linked to security, 1.2 million for the culture area, 1.1 million for the tourism tourism sector and 1 million for the Court of Accounts. Added to that budget are another 2 million dollars linked to traffic fines towards the Technological University (UTEC).

When announcing the agreement, Blas He maintained that the “complete agreement” was achieved “working in a climate typical of a coalition.” Along these lines, he valued the “good weather” and the final result, about which he expressed: “It leaves us more than satisfied.”

For his part, the leader of Open Town Hall, Guido Manini Ríos, He stressed that his space feels “great satisfaction” with the agreement. “We are aware that we have contributed to the improvement of the articles and that the Accountability that comes out of Parliament “It has a series of aspects that it did not include when entering and that address different problems in different areas,” he said about the issues linked to the salaries of military personnel.

In that line, Manini Rios He expressed his agreement and said that these were “areas that needed to be addressed,” while he anticipated: “We hope that the vote will finish ratifying what we have just agreed upon.”
