There were 166 submissions this year for the Upper Austrian Young Entrepreneurship Prize, the JUP23. The Wels company “Bitters & Friends” ended up in the category “rocket launcher” on the third place.

The Wels web agency operators Lisa and David Faber founded the start-up together with the pharmacist couple Marie and Michael Greiff. High-quality bitter substances products are produced in the in-house factory with online shop. The bitter herbs are said to support the body with digestion, immune defense, metabolism, stress reduction and cravings. “David and I started our own business as students and Marie and Michael are already old hands anyway”says Lisa Faber. The two couples have been working together for many years and complement each other very well.

David Faber accepted the award: “This award is an appreciation that feels incredibly good.”
