The Wolfgangsee Tourism Society offered a week’s holiday for two people on Lake Wolfgang as the main prize at last year’s 50th International Wolfgangsee Run. However, not for the fastest, but for the 100,000th. (in words: one hundred thousandth!) Registration in 50 years. The lucky winner was 37-year-old Bavarian Katharina Garhammer, who competes for DJK Laufwölfe Fürsteneck.

She recently won the prize as newly married Katharina Gaisbauer together with her husband Andreas. The package was garnished by the Schafbergbahn with a ride up and down for two people.

This year’s 51st Wolfgangseelauf – Salzkammergut Marathon takes place with all its different runs from October 13th to 15th, with the highlights (12th Salzkammergut Marathon, 51st 27-kilometer classic, 18th Panorama Run, 20th Shore Run ) take place on Sunday.

A total of around 3,000 participants from 37 nations have already registered. www.wolfgangseelauf.at
