The young driver from the Rohrbach district was traveling on the B38 from Haslach towards Helfenberg around 9:40 p.m. In the municipality of St. Stefan am Walde, a deer unexpectedly jumped from an embankment directly onto the windshield.
The 19-year-old twisted the steering wheel – his car skidded and left the road. The vehicle skidded downhill over an embankment and rolled over several times.
After receiving first aid, the injured driver was taken to Rohrbach Hospital by ambulance. The car was a total loss, according to police.
