The citizenship researcher and democratic theorist Rainer Bauböck, who comes from Ried im Innkreis, was honored for his work in the fields of humanities, social sciences, cultural sciences and law. Another honor goes to the Bad Hall-born journalist and publicist Martin Pollack.

The 79-year-old is being honored with the award for his always cheerful discourse on remembrance. Finally, the saxophonist, composer and sound artist Max Nagl received the City of Vienna Prize in the music category. The 62-year-old from Gmund is considered one of Austria’s most versatile artists. His work consists of 40 albums so far.
