This is a kind of innovation ecosystem, says Wolfgang Spitzeberger, head of the human resources department at Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich (RLB): “Ideas are needed for an uncertain future.” The aim is to combine practical knowledge with innovation-oriented methods and round them off with scientific skills. The “Innovation Center” is aimed at three groups: students, companies and institutes or professors. It starts with the students: They can present their ideas and suggestions for problems and will be looked after by RLB employees who have been trained internally to become “innovation ambassadors”. “We support you when it comes to the question of whether the idea will also meet with a response on the market,” says Spitzeberger. For example, there are workshops for them. Corporate customers can also take part in workshops and develop innovative ideas: the aim is to bring corporate customers and students together. “We don’t yet know the challenges that will concern us in ten years. We also don’t know what the world of work will look like.” The aim of the Innovation Center is also to appeal to potential workers.
