It is a special concert with which the state music school cultural group starts the autumn season: The program includes a concert by the cult formation “Pro Brass”, which has been playing excellent music in the largest concert halls in Europe for 40 years.
At the concert in Ried on Wednesday, October 11th (starting at 7:30 p.m.), Pro Brass will present a “best of” from the past 40 years in the No Worries Hall at the Rieder Messe. It brings together hundreds of concert experiences, 13 CDs, a radio play, a DVD – and a large number of outstanding musical personalities, including artists from the Innviertel region, who also hold leading positions with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz and the Vienna Volksoper.
Top musicians from the region
Well known are the trumpeter Lorenz Raab with roots in Rainbach, the trombonists Walter Voglmayr from Enzenkirchen and Johann Reiter from Pattigham, the percussionist Stefan Reichinger from Lohnsburg and the man with the bass trombone, Gerald Pöttinger from Wendling.
“The Pro Brass best-of program is a homage to the many great pieces of the past four decades. A general store of Pro Brass classics, emotions and brass art,” says the program announcement.
The brass ensemble impresses with its high musical quality; some band members were also recently heard as part of the star line-up at Martin Grubinger’s grandiose farewell concert in the Great Festival Hall in Salzburg.
