As every year, the timetables for 2024 will be changed in December. As part of the timetable change, the evening edge connections will also be strengthened, as State Governor Thomas Stelzer (VP) and State Transport Councilor Günther Steinkellner (FP) announced this week. There are significant improvements, especially for the Innviertel: From December 11th, a late connection from Vienna via Linz (9.45 p.m.), Wels (10.09 p.m.), Neumarkt-Kallham (10.36 p.m.) will be extended to Passau (11.22 p.m.).
In addition, a late connection will be installed from Linz (10:50 p.m.) without changing trains via Wels to Schärding (12:08 a.m.). In Neumarkt-Kallham you can also change to Ried or use the new connection to Braunau (12:32 a.m.). “We see the expansion of services as a decisive step in making public transport more attractive and expanding the mobility offering for people in Upper Austria,” said Stelzer and Steinkellner.
In 2024, another late-evening connection from the central area to Passau will also be introduced. The time given is next spring.
