The Mühlviertler’s exit was not without consequences: On the way from Mauthausen to Ried in der Riedmark (Perg district), the local hit a car driving in front of her twice on the Marbach freight road. The driver, a 55-year-old from the Perg district, suffered such serious injuries that she had to be treated at the Linz accident hospital. Her car sustained significant damage to the rear.
The person who caused the accident is now facing several charges: Not only did the 57-year-old’s alcohol test come back positive, she also doesn’t have a valid driving license, the police announced on Sunday afternoon.
